Metals

Metals

Proven methods for safe and  removal of metal contaminants.

    • Our metal treatment work covers a range of methods, including lime and sulphide precipitation, ion exchange, and adsorption media.
    • Whether the challenge is heavy metals or trace elements, our approaches are designed to achieve effective removal or mitigation, with performance demonstrated on your water before design proceeds.

Metal removal looks simple on paper and rarely is. The same lime precipitation circuit that reliably drops iron and copper can stall on zinc at high sulphate or produce a sludge that fails leachate testing and turns disposal into a recurring cost. Trace elements, selenium, arsenic, antimony, often demand a different chemistry altogether, and choosing between precipitation, ion exchange, adsorption or a combination is a decision worth making on bench data rather than a vendor's specification sheet. We test your actual water, establish what each option can realistically achieve, and provide the process design and sizing to take forward. You get defensible performance data and a treatment approach matched to your chemistry, your discharge limits, and your operating conditions, before capital is committed.
